They're in

Jim Anderton and Peter Dunne have won their case to appear in the TV3 leader's debate. This is good for democracy, but I'd be quite interested in reading the judgement to see what the judge's reasoning was; interfering with TV3's editorial decisions is a prima facie violation of their right to free expression, and should require an extremely high burden to be met.

Anyway, I'll still be watching Dr Who.

  2. Nah, he's not a Dalek, Daleks have more discernable empathy and character.

  3. So tonight 60 minutes of leader debates, minus 12 minutes of advertising, minus 5 minutes of introductions and credits. What's left will be less than 45 minutes of airtime, divided by 8 party leaders, so that's about 5.5 minutes each. I'm sure it will cover all the policies and will have time for in-depth discussion and shed miraculously clear light on all issues for the voter to choose between. (I think I will swallow the worm in my tequila bottle instead)

  4. TV3 are now seriously considering extending the debate for another 30mins. Better for all involved.

  5. Well, with all of the publicity it's going to rate much higher. An extra half hour means more advertising revinue.

Don't think so... Last night's dalek was a Brian Tamaki.
