Escher's "Waterfall

Maree Howard's power crisis "solution" the other day made me think of this famous picture:

I have a print of it hanging on the wall behind my computer, and it's kindof cool.

There's also a fascinating page about the work of some computer scientists to realise Escher's works as physical objects. Unfortunately, while they can produce the "waterfall" building with a 3-D layered manufacturing system, they can't get the water to flow uphill...
