At least they're starving free

The US invasion of Iraq was supposed to turn that country into a better place. Instead, it has led to a doubling of serious childhood malnutrition, and almost a quarter of children being chronically undernourished. Iraq already had appalling statistics in this area due to the cruel international sanctions regime, which is estimated to have killed at least half a million Iraqis children. To make things worse from that baseline really takes effort.

But at least they're starving free, right?

  2. Im not sure it is all that impressive
I expect that the allies fighting in WWII HUGELY increased malnutrition in NAZI germany and in vichy france and so forth.
The north fighting in the american civil war probably also caused a great rise in malnutrition.

  3. The Bush doctrine says it's better to starve under free market US-led capitalism than under evil dictators who did all the dirty work of oppression/starvation/torture for them beforehand.

  4. o again make my point....

That has been the doctrine of civilized countries for a long time otherwise we should have all accepted nazism and slavery with open arms.

Of course some fairly civilized countries have said it is better to starve under communism than under capitalism or despotism.
