Culture jamming

National has released its latest billboard campaign - including one which divides New Zealanders by race - and predicatbly people have already started to "culture jam" them. The first selection (posted on Scoop) are fairly weak - the point of the billboards is to deliver a short, punchy message. The one below, forwarded to me by a reader, is far better.

Or this one, whipped up in photoshop this morning, which both reminds people of what National did last time it was in government, and of what the consequences of their tax cuts for the rich will be:

Though actually, you could do that with virtually any policy area - including their present darlings of roads and defence.

Any other good ideas?

  1. If that's the best you can do it would be a really good idea to start getting ready for opposition, as a minor party.

  4. Hm... Seem to remember that Clark has the dubious honour of closing more hospitals than any other Minister of Health? Seems a bit ironic the left talking cuts?

  5. But we don't get to choose our foreign policy.

I for one would not choose to deal with a country so against human rights as what China is.
