  1. Fisk through the babelfish:

Waaa waaa waaa. Things are turning out exactly like I said they wouldn't, just like in Afghanistan. Millions of dead in Afghanistan I tell you, millions! One day I'll get something right, even a stopped watch is right twice a day!

  2. This is the problem with Fisk. He tells you what you would rather not know. Even worse, because he is there on the ground and has taken the time to get to know the locals, it is true.
Putting your fingers in your ears and repeating anti-Fisk mantras will not make everything alright.

  3. "I believe in the rule of law as a human being and most people believe in the rule of law and Arabs believe in the rule of law, they don't get much of it but they believe in it and if we believe in the rule of law, that means that a person responsible for mass murder must be arrested, put in court, charged, prosecuted, proved to be guilty and punished - that does not mean death squads."

A Transcript of an interview with Fisk soon after 9/11.
He is not "with" B1 and B2 but can still be on the side of Liberal Democracy.
