With everybody else buggering off for the holidays, I'd just like to repeat what I said at this time last year: I am a sad bastard with no life, and so I will continue to post about what politics and news there is while everyone else is enjoying the sun.
Of course, the only people actually reading will be those who are similarly sad, but I'm sure there's enough desperate information junkies out there...
Thank goodness: at least someone is making an effort to provide decent reaction and opinions over the break.
ReplyDeletewell, I wouldn't go that far - but there'll be something here at least.

ReplyDeleteI am, I admit it, Oh the shame....!
Having said that, however, I have to tell you that your blog is essential regular reading for people like me.
ie. Those of us who value truth, honesty, decency and real news about real events.
Many thanks.
Good on ya, I/S. I shall be looking in between reading my growing pile of holiday books, which include "Going Nucular: Language, Politics and Culture in Confrontational Times", by Geoffrey Nunberg. Just read an interesting chapter titled "Where the left commences" which discusses the changing meanings given to the terms left and liberal in America over the past 50-odd years. It's politically savvy and quite witty and, as they say in the cereal ad, "Not too heavy, not too light".

ReplyDeleteHey, in some parts of the world it's not holiday season...
ReplyDeleteAre you implyin there is mroe to life than bloging???
ReplyDeleteSome of us have to work over the holidays so can occasionally peek in to see what's going on. Cheers for the voluminous blog, only one of a handful worth reading this year.
ReplyDeleteI should note that Lewis is still around as well...
