Submit!

The Justice and Electoral Committee is seeking submissions on the Crimes (Abolition of Force as a Justification for Child Discipline) Amendment Bill. 20 copies, by Tuesday, 28 February 2006, to

Julie Jordan
Justice and Electoral Committee Secretariat
Parliament Buildings
Wellington

Regardless of where you stand on this bill, if you want to have an influence, you need to voice your opinion. You don't need to appear before the committee; a submission can be as simple as a letter saying "I support/oppose this bill" and giving your reasons why. There's a guide here if you need further help.

  1. Surely it should be the Crimes (Abolition of *Child Discipline* as a justification for *Force*) Amendment Bill?

  2. Yes, it should. Unfortunately, Sue Bradford didn't get the title right, and now we're stuck with it.

  3. Oops.

    Can't they amend it?

  4. Eventually - but there's little point, since its an amendment bill.
