Despite the prospect of Colonel Thomas Pappas spilling the beans on who ordered what at Abu Ghraib, and thus incriminating General Miller, I'm not actually that hopeful that he will get what he so justly deserves. Why? Because he already hasn't. According to the original WaPo article,
Miller, now based at the Pentagon as a senior official managing Army installations, was recommended for administrative punishment for his alleged mishandling of interrogations of a valuable detainee in Guantanamo Bay. But high-ranking military officials have declined to impose the penalty. The detainee was subjected to a number of abuses that mirrored the ones that later emerged in the Abu Ghraib photographs.
(Emphasis added).
So they've alreayd let him off once for detainee abuse, and they'll probably do it again. And the Americans wonder why people think they don't take claims of abuse seriously...
