Busy

Nothing today, as I've been down in Wellington ferreting through the VUW law library digging our articles on sedition. The Australian Law Reform Commission is currently reviewing Australia's new sedition law, and their issues paper on the subject (which arrived in my mailbox just after the deadline for submissions had closed) is packed with interesting references to articles that show that the history of sedition in Australia is every bit as dubious as it is in New Zealand - i.e. that the law has been used as a tool for outright political repression of people whose only "crime" was disagreeing witht he government (or in one case, a judge). So, I've been hunting down and digesting some of those documents (as well as some of Wellington's excellent cafe food).

Normal bloggage will resume sometime this evening.
