I didn't see it, but word on the blogs is that Rodney was voted off "Dancing with the Stars" tonight. And now hopefully he can get back to doing the work we're paying him to do, rather than grandstanding at the taxpayer's expense.
I/S, Some time ago you were challenged to come up with figures of MP attendance in the House for the past few years. I would very much like to see how Hide compares with other MPs and Party leaders.
Anon: And as I said at the time, its difficult to do for members of larger parties, given that the only way of telling whether someone is there or not is their vote, and absent MPs can easily cast proxies. It was only because Heather Roy was away (and thus unable to cast a proxy on his behalf) that I was able to track his absences at all.
More generally, I am not an unpaid research service for the right. Hansard is online here, and if you think there's some interesting facts there, you can always try mining them yourself.
I/S, I'm a member of Labour and don't consider myself on "the right" I don't like the guy but I think the dancing thing was probably good for him and doesn't detract from his role as a politician. But that's just my opinion.
Well, Anon, if you're going to post anonymously without even tacking a name onto the bottom of your post, you can hardly get offended when you're mistaken for other anonymous posters who also decline to leave any identifying marks at all...
He is the leader of a minor opposition political party. We don't pay him to grandstand at our expense?
ReplyDeleteAnon: Point taken. But we pay him to grandstand in Parliament, not on the dance floor.
