Smoke signals from the battle of Bint Jbeil send a warning to Israel

  1. This stuff in Leb a bit like Laos or Cambodia back in Nam Days ... weak central governments in neutral states see their societies absolutely smashed to pieces as the Big Boys fight ...

The way the U.S. is directly, and through its clients like governments of Egypt Jordan, Israel, Abbas' 'Fatahstan', Saudi Arabia, etc., indirectly, behaving is sort of like a Power which is perhaps conscious that it's past its peak; it is sort of lashing out in all directions trying to hold everything together...but you get this feeling looking at it all that actually maybe it is a lot weaker and its global reach is over-stretched at the moment?

Destroying Laos and Cambodia didn't, after all, stop the VietNam nationalists from winning their war of liberation and U.S. corporates in 2006 line up to get meetings with VietNam Communist Party officials ... You get this feeling that in 40 years time U.S. corporates will be knocking at the doors of Shiia nationalist governments wanting to do business and all of this awful killing now will be put down as an unfortunate U.S. policy error.

  2. International medical charity has said that Israel's promised humanitarian aid corridors in south Lebanon are an illusion. "It's a kind of humanitarian alibi because in effect there is no real humanitarian access in the south," Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) Doctors Without Borders

They are probably doing that already. there is always someone willing to deal with "the devil". If hitler had won WWII we would probably have kissed and made up by now as well.

That would only have mattered if that was their primary goal.
