Heh, here's me thinking "how many students are against a democratic Aotearoa" before I flick over to their site...
Looks like a bunch of kids in search of a fight. I fail to see how democracy is aided by lies. For example:
Under the headline "Simon Power is an Asshole" (that's "Arsehole" for those who don't support the US world hegemony, by the way) they say:
"So after Tim Selwyn was imprisoned merely for criticising Labour’s actions"
Well, that may have been *one* of the reasons he was imprisoned but surely not the only one or merely that! Christ, how about attacking the PMs office with an axe, conspiring with criminal gangs and, oh, fraud.
I know there is controversy around the sedition charges but to be confronted with a lie straight up does little to give confidence in this recommendation from you I/S.

Noddy, there's a difference between democracy and "democracy".
Idiot/Savant has done a very good job outlining the reasons why Tim Selwyn's prison term of two months for sedition is antidemocratic, so I won't just repeat his arguments. However I don't think his other convictions are relevant - he was put in prison for sedition, ie criticising the government.
I heard that one of Idiot/Savant's newspaper pieces was photocopied and distributed to third-year politics students, BTW... maybe there's hope.

This must be a Democrats for Alliance outfit - only they'd quote Treasury (!) in order to attack anderton's economic development agenda.
