What happens when you let the Australians organise the joint Australia New Zealand Climate Change Forum? You get strippers for entertainment. The climate did indeed change - but not I suspect in the way they expected it to.

I think it was supposed to be ironic. A bit bizarre, all the same.

Tragic that the entire conference gets neglible media coverage until THIS. And using the tern "stripper" was an egregious lie, from all accounts it was a harmless bit of burleque theatre a million miles removed from anything that could possibly be offensive.
The MSM does not report anything actually important.
The MSM does report trivia, sensation, distractions and outright lies.
Stop believing a word they say without careful examination and trustworthy corroboration.

Logix,
I'm not sure if the problem is the media or the public, probably the latter.
HOWEVER the environmentalists and the left in general should be able to win that battle just as long as they get a little MSM savy. Just get a hot stripper in for a few protests and meetings and you'll soon be dominating the media.
combinethat with offers of sexual favours and people will wonder what the right's platform is.

Logix, you're right about the dancer being a burlesque performer and not a "stripper" but it was still an error of judgement. I'm not arguing for banal entertainment, but the organiser should have realised that bursleque would not be too everyone's taste.

the problem was the people they invited not the dancers :)
