Protesting Fonterra

I went on a protest march today. About 200 people turned out to protest against Fonterra and the Palmerston North City Council using the Manawatu River as a sewer. While it doesn't sound like many, that's pretty good for Palmerston North, and it suggests that the environment may be a serious issue in next year's local body elections. Hopefully the Greens will manage to find a candidate or two to tap into that constituency.
