What its all about

Listening to the "debate" today on the Privileges Committee's finding of contempt against former MP Matt Robson, and the statements of Michael Cullen, Gerry Brownlee, and Peter Dunne, it was clear that their position boiled down to one key thing: they think that members of the public have no right to question a Member of Parliament's integrity.

I think that axiom speaks to its own ridiculousness. I think it can only be described as "feudal".

Like the absolute monarchs of old, these people think they are so far above us that they should be beyond criticism. We must show them that they are not.

  1. I totally agree, and the Judiciary are even worse; try criticizing a sitting Judge and see where it gets you. The B.O.R should be amended to explicitly allow criticism (as distinct from defamation/libel) of public figures.

  2. great post, you really hit the nail on the head. They are behaving as though divine right has been granted them.
It is great to see that their are some issues that unite both ends of the political debate outside of the suckholes in parliament.

  3. Peter Dunne or whatsy dunne as I like to call him behaves and acts like the mp for booze, fags and gambling.

During his time as mp there have been shocking, brutal alcohol fuelled murders in his electorate, the police also called for a local pub in his electorate to be closed because of the amount of crime that poured out of the place at closing time.

This pompus creep ( dunny ) has also also called aids victims and their plea for medicinal cannabis "garbage".

Contempt is not a strong enough word for my feelings on dunny.

............... I think he and the american embassy have a little secret going on
