Cheney consigliere Lewis "Scooter" Libby has been sentenced to 30 months in prison for obstruction of justice and perjury over his outing of CIA agent Valerie Plame in the leadup to the Iraq war. All I can say is that it couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
The question now is how long it will take George Bush to show some uncharacteristic mercy (but characteristic contempt for the law) and pardon him.
How many did Clinton pardon before his reign of porking ended.
ReplyDeleteI mean that in a couple of ways.
Of course he had a loyal staff member steal top secret documents who has refused to testify, or say what documents were taken, probably at the request of Clinton.
But no story here, move along.
Ah, Republicania. The mind-set in which a consensual blow-job is a worse crime than starting an illegal and immoral war based on a tissue of lies, and putting your country's agents' lives at risk when they don't swallow said lies.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous,
ReplyDeleteThere is no story there because Republicans failed to issue a subpena compelling his testamony. Seeing you are happy to speculate that Clintons Penis was behind the whole thing, I'll speculate that the repubs didn't subpena because there was no there, there.
And seeing you are under the mistaken impression that the actions of previous administrations have any bearing at all in this case, perhaps you might like to talk about this:
"Hall Testifies of Necessity 'To Go Above Written Law'"
North Walked 'Fine Line,' Ex-Secretary Says

Former White House secretary Fawn Hall said yesterday that she shredded telephone records of her boss, Lt. Col. Oliver L. North, last Nov. 21 to prevent the Iran-contra initiatives from becoming "unraveled," and explained that there were "times when you have to go above the written law."
Anon, whatever you may think of Clinton's "reign of porking" it should be noted that it did not lead to the death of 655,000 people and the destruction of their country.
ReplyDeleteYou may find it hard but try and get a little perspective.
