Over on Election08, Scoop's Gordon Campbell looks at how National will deliver social services. Unfortunately it looks primarily at the mode of service delivery and the use of NGO contractors, rather than the big questions of "how much" and "in what form". Social services are a big area of expenditure, and if National wants to deliver big tax cuts to its rich cronies, then it is going to have to cut them. Unfortunately, with just four months to go until the election, they're still leaving us completely in the dark about their plans in this area.
