Another prosecution

While we're on the subject of electoral law prosecutions, it looks like the Democrats for Social Credit have been reported to the police [PDF] for failing to get their annual donation return in on time. You need to go to some effort for this to happen - the law allows "reasonable excuse", and the Electoral Commission is quite forgiving - so its certainly not a good look. But fortunately for them its under the old Electoral Act, with its trivial penalties, rather tha the much stricter regime of the Electoral Finance Act.
