Social Development goes to a noob who seems to have never said a thing on the topic, while Labour is ranked bottom of the Cabinet. Both these portfolios will be absolutely crucial in dealing with the recession, but National and Key just don't seem to care about them.
Oh, and the absence of Lockwood Smith means he's probably Speaker. No doubt he'll spend his first few days telling all the Pasifika MPs how to use the toilets...
