Equality comes to Argentina

Argentina's Senate has voted to legalise same-sex marriage, making Argentina the first country in South America to affirm full equality for gays. And hopefully the rest won't be too far behind. Meanwhile, New Zealand still lags behind with "separate but equal" civil unions. Isn't it time we reclaimed our mantle as the most progressive country in the world?
