A US federal judge has just ruled that the government's "don't ask, don't tell" policy barring gays from serving in the military is unconstitutional. There's no details yet on the reasons why it is unconstitutional, and I look forward to reading them. Meanwhile, we should thank the Log Cabin Republicans, not just for bringing this lawsuit, but also for showing that there are a few decent people remaining in the Republican Party. But no doubt the teabaggers will be doing their best to drive them out...
