VUW's Institute of Policy Studies is holding a policy forum on "Does Inequality Matter?" in a fortnight. The main topic will be The Spirit Level, and the keynote speaker (via videoconference) Professor Richard Wilkinson, its author. In addition, a number of New Zealand academics will be discussing whether the thesis of the book is robust, whether there is a political constituency for equality, and the New Zealand data.
