Labour has upped the ante on Solid Energy, calling for a select committee inquiry and for former CEO Don Elder to be subpoenaed. Good. Solid Energy's former management burned our money on bonuses, ruining a public asset in the process. We deserve answers about who is responsible for that. The question now is whether National will allow it - or try and cover up the failure.
