While the
Guardian has been too chickenshit to name names over who threatened them into doing this, the
Independent has the dirt:
it was Cabinet Secretary Jeremy Heywood acting on the direct orders of the Prime Minister. Heywood is clearly not the sort of person who can be trusted to hold senior office in a democracy. If the UK people want their country back from the spies, he has to go.
