We still don't need new laws to fight terrorism

John Key's latest tool in trying to scare us into passing new security laws is to reveal that kiwis are fund-raising for ISIS. But as I've pointed out before, we don't need new laws to fight terrorism. ISIS is a designated terrorist entity. Providing goods or services to them without reasonable excuse is a crime punishable by seven year's imprisonment. If the Prime Minister and his spies are aware that people are doing this, then they should bring a prosecution. Otherwise, the natural conclusion is that they are deliberately ignoring the law in an effort to scaremonger more powers for themselves.
