41,000 unemployed under National

The latest Household Labour Force Survey was released today, showing a stagnant economy. Despite all the claims of "recovery", there are still 146,000 people without work - 41,000 more than when National came to power.

But apparently "wage inflation" - workers getting a pay rise so they can pay their bills - is low. This is what National means: unemployment systematically 2% higher than Labour, to keep wages down and profits high. Meanwhile, the rich ride the Auckland housing bubble, in which a house makes more in a month than 50% of the population makes in a year. Its pretty clear who National is structuring the economy to favour, and it isn't ordinary kiwis.
