Today is a Member's Day. Unfortunately it looks like nothing will happen again - National are filibustering member's bills now they no longer have a majority to vote them down, and there's plenty of business they can talk out.
First up are a pair of private and local bills, which should occupy almost all of the House's time. If they go quickly, there might be a few speeches on Tracey Martin's Social Security (Clothing Allowances for Orphans and Unsupported Children) Amendment Bill, but I doubt they'll get further. But the good news is that after this week, the filibuster is broken - there's no bills scheduled to emerge from committee, so we're in for a spate of first readings and ballots. Which means Parliament might get to vote on Paid Parental Leave again...
