Today is the day of the (
NZ branch) of the
global climate strike. Schoolkids will be turning out
all over the country to strike for a future, and
I'll be joining them. I hope you will too. This is too important to sit on the sidelines; our whole future depends on the government taking strong action to cut emissions and draw down carbon from the atmosphere. And the more people who turn out, the greater the pressure to do what is necessary. So, do your bit, and join the climate strike today.
(Normal bloggage may resume late afternoon, once Palmerston North's protest is over. Or maybe I'll just take the whole day off and be back on Monday. We'll see how the news goes).
