Happy Halloween

Jack-2016

Its Halloween, which is as close to a religious holiday as I get. Pumpkins! Chocolate! Spooky plastic ravens! More chocolate!

If kids knock on your door asking for chocolate, be nice to them. Remember, thwarted kids grow up to try and take over the world.

Happy Halloween

Its Halloween! Time to carve a pumpkin with a jolly smile and set it on fire to tell people of free chocolate!

(OK, so daylight savings means that most chocolate collection happens before pumpkin lighting time. But the thought was there)

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy

It's Halloween! Time for a jolly pumpkin to remind everyone that there is chocolate nearby

jack2014

The weather is terrible, and while it can't rain all the time, I suspect there may be an absence of ghosts and ghouls. Whatever shall I do with all that chocolate?

Jack welcomes hungry ghouls

It's Halloween! Which means a friendly pumpkin to signal the presence of chocolate:

This year, Jack is trying out his "drunk and seedy" look. Or maybe its just the camera angle...

Jack's back!

Its Halloween! So naturally, there must be a grinning pumpkin to lure chocolate-seekers to their doom:

Meet Jack

Its Halloween, my favourite holiday of the year. And as usual, I have carved a pumpkin, to sit at my gate and invite people in to receive chocolate:

If Jack doesn't do his job, then I get all the chocolate. This is probably a perverse incentive.

Jack is back!

Last year, Jack took a holiday, and died of terror at Fright Night 2009. This year, he's back, and clearly happy to be home:

I have the usual pile of chocolate to hand out. I wonder whether anyone will want any, or whether I'll get to eat it all myself.

Pumpkin time

It's Halloween, my favourite holiday of the year - and as usual I have carved my traditional pumpkin. A fairly jolly fellow, but that's how I feel today:

I have a pile of chocolate. I wonder if I'll have to share it?

It's pumpkin time!

Some deep-sea creatures which live in the darkest depths use a lighted lure to trick prey into their jaws. At this time of year, I use a carved pumpkin.

I have a large bowl of chocolate by the door, and hopefully there'll be some trick or treaters to hand it out to. And if not, at least I'll have something to console myself with...
