No sense of humour

Kazhakstan is threatening to sue Borat for defamation. And accusing him of "serving someone's political order designed to present Kazakhstan and its people in a derogatory way". Seriously.

Somehow, I don't think this will get him to stop - even under Britain's draconian libel laws.

  1. I think you'll find they're threatening to sue Cohen, rather than a fictitious character.

  3. Christiaan: Yes - but nobody would know who Cohen was.

  4. I know you've got to to cater to the lowest common denominator, what with all the intellectually challenged supporters of Iraq occupation around here, but I would have assumed most of your readership would know who Cohen is by now. In any case I just thought it amusing that someone might attempt to sue a fictitious character; it's what made me click through to the story. :)
