Back in March I highlighted the work of the New Zealand Centre for Public Law's Urgency Project. They've been conducting a systematic study of how Parliament has used urgency over the last 24 years, with an eye to suggesting reforms to the system. And they're giving their final report tonight:
When: 17:30, Monday 9 May
Where: Lecture Theatre 2, Old Government Buildings, 55 Lambton Quay, Wellington
Contact: nzcpl@vuw.ac.nz (RSVP if you care about them getting their catering numbers right).
Sadly, I'm stuck in Palmerston North. Bugger.
