Equality advances in the UK

So, the UK House of Commons has voted overwhelmingly for marriage equality. Good. The bill isn't law yet - it still has to go to select committee, and the House of Lords (where unelected bigot-Bishops get a vote), but with such a huge majority passage seems assured. The only question is timing.

Meanwhile, our local marriage equality bill is due back from committee at the end of the month, and then as a member's bill will then take months to pass through its later stages. There's a real chance that the grey old UK will beat us to marriage equality.
