The USS Ronald Reagan is in Australian waters at the moment, and visited Brisbane last week. And ever since, bags of trash from the carrier have been washing up on Queensland beaches. That's right, they just dump them overboard.
Kindof symbolic, isn't it?

Can you explain how so symbolic, oh misty-eyed poet? It sounds more like dumbass-criminal environmental spoilage to me...

Which is US environmental policy in a nutshell.

There's very little about the current Junta's 'environmental' policy that I would want to defend. States are doing a far better job at trying to cut waste and comsumption. However, depressing as this is, travel in Russia and/or China if you want a bleak view of environmental neglect. America, for one, mercifully dosn't have rows of decomissioned, rusty, unsafe nuclear submarines leaking radioactivity...

According to the Bulletin, the USS Ronald Reagan is currently lost at sea after making a bizarre radio call related to warm milk, the USS Nancy and a friendly chimpanzee associate.
