Another day, another news story from Fiji whining about travel bans during the rugby world cup. Today, they want a "quick decision" and a "definitive answer" on whether the travel ban will remain in place. But they've already been told repeatedly that it will, and that Fijians with links to the military will not be allowed into New Zealand. What part of "no" do they not understand? Or are they hoping that if they whine loud enough and long enough, we'll give in?
If the Fijian regime want the travel ban to be lifted, they have a simple solution: hold free and fair elections. Until then, they're persona non grata in New Zealand. It is that simple.
