Well, that worked II

More evidence of the "success" of the US's tough approach towards Iran: Iran and Syria have formed a mutual defence-pact against the perceived threat from the US and Israel. Which adds immeasurably to the security and stability of the Middle East...</SARCASM>

maybe it does after-all they probably wont fight each other now. anyway fat chance syria will actually honor that agreement if iran is atacked.

I take it you are suggesting the old iraq strategy. Kiss and make up with iran syria and nth korea and do whatever it takes to be their friend regardless of what they do or what governments they have no sanctions particularly no weapons sanctions (otherwise you will still look bad compared to the other countries). If they decide to kill anyone the it wont be americans and it won't get on the news.

Besides - the americans could respond to such an eventuality by saying "serves you right for not helping us out before!".

thx for the reminder genius.. without constant reinforcement i keep forgetting US military aggression is driven purely by high moral principles (ie a desire to contain highly dangerous regimes) and not by by a gynormous military-industrial complex with a vested interest in generating ongoing and escalating warfare.
