Something to go to in Wellington

The Bill of Rights Act turns 21 later this month, and Victoria University's Centre for Public Law is celebrating with a series of public lectures:

• On Monday, 29 August, Rabinder Singh will be talking about The Moral Force of the UK Human Rights Act. 17:30, Lecture Theatre 1, Old Government Buildings, 55 Lambton Quay, Wellington.
• On Tuesday 30 August, Martha Coleman, Frances Joychild, and Paul Rishworth will hold a public workshop on Freedom from Discrimination, and the Jurisdiction of the Human Rights Review Tribunal. 14:00 - 16:00, venue TBD.
• On Tuesday 30 August, Professor Janet McLean will give a lecture on Bills of Rights and Constitutional Conventions. 17:30, Lecture Theatre 1, Old Government Buildings, 55 Lambton Quay, Wellington.

If you have an interest in BORA issues, or wish to inform yourself in the leadup to the government's constitutional review (which will address an entrenched BORA), then its probably worth heading along.
