Taito Philip Field, Labour's most regressive MP, has hinted that he is about to jump ship. This won't in itself bring down the government - the Greens' abstention means that the coalition will still have a majority on confidence and supply - but it will make it far more difficult for them to pass legislation, which will no doubt increase the frustration and viciousness even further. And all this because he was stripped of his ministerial position and is being investigated for outright corruption. I guess we can conclude from this that Noel Ingram's report doesn't exactly exonerate him then...
Meanwhile, from Peter Dunne's denial and Gordon Copeland's evasions, it seems that the wacko Christian faction of United Future has been going behind its leader's back. I wonder how that will play out in the caucus room...?

On the plus side it does mean that one of the Labour will be free of another of it's most regressive MPs, although that won't help on conscience votes.
