Today is the elected ECan's last day in office; they will be replaced by National's farmer junta tomorrow. So, people are going to give them a send-off, and show their hate for the dictators.

There are also plans to protest outside National's victory party (AKA the Jenny Shipley lecture on "Canterbury Water - A Collaborative Approach") a short way down the road at around 18:00.
