Watching Agenda this morning and the first few minutes of this evening's news, it occurs to me that we do need an "out" campaign in New Zealand - not for religion, but for rugby. Because clearly, some people need to be reminded that some of us really don't give a shit about their silly little game, that unlike them, we are not in mourning over it, and that we find the universal assumption that we care to be insulting and stifling.

UNfortunately, sport lags a long way behind religion for tolerance, pluralism, and the acknowledgement of difference.
