National has announced that it will release its tax policy next Monday - the third or fourth time they've shifted it. Which I think is yet another blow to their credibility. If they can't even be relied upon to keep their promises with regards to when they will release a policy, how can we possibly trust them on more substantive matters?

Benny:
Idiot probably would have been all over it as proof of how crass and out of touch with ordinary New Zealanders National is - politicing while "the whole country" mouned the passing of a secular God. S/he'd also be having a good laugh at the utter naivety of releasing a major policy on the one day it was guaranteed not to lead any media outlet.

This shift may be entirely justified ... all campaigning should cease for Lange's funeral and memorial service (just as it did for Reagan's in the US as I recall).
However, the motives for the previous 2-3 delays/reschedulings are less benevolent.
