The effect of Working For Families

Something else to come out of MSD's Household Incomes in New Zealand: trends in indicators of inequality and hardship 1982 to 2010 report: a nice visual picture of the effect of Working For Families:


It has flattened the income distribution, and made a lot of families ~$10,000 a year better off. Good, progressive policy, in other words. No wonder National hates it.
