Submit!

The Commerce Committee has called for submissions on the Crown Minerals (Permitting and Crown Land) Bill. Two copies, by Friday, 2 November 2012, to

Commerce Committee Secretariat
Parliament Buildings
Wellington

Or you can use the form linked above.

The bill would open our national parks up for mining, by making the Minister of Energy a joint decision-maker over mining on conservation land, and imposing an economic benefits test, allowing conservation values to be ignored. If you want to preserve our natural taonga, you need to submit against this bill.
